GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
- Optimal Hardness: Molds are made from durable white silicone with optimal hardness that does not damage candle details. They are flexible and have smooth inner surfaces.
- Casting Guarantee: With proper storage and use, you can cast candles approximately 500 times.
- Multi-Purpose Casting Advantage: Due to their design, silicone molds offer multi-purpose casting benefits. Besides candle casting, they are compatible with soap, concrete, epoxy, scented stone, ceramic, and plaster castings. By considering the freezing and working conditions of your raw materials, you can create many different products. Not recommended for food products.
- Package Contents: The candles and stone powder castings shown in the images are not included. Only the high-quality silicone mold to produce these objects will be sent with your order.
- Special Kraft Box and Information Label: Your product is delivered in a special kraft box with a label containing gram and size information to help you calculate raw material amounts easily. This label prevents material waste and saves you from searching for digital data each time.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- First Use: It is recommended to clean your molds with soapy water and dry them thoroughly before use.
- Wick Placement: Since the molds have multi-purpose casting advantages, they are sent without wick holes being cut or pierced. Before candle casting, you can easily pierce the wick hole in seconds without damaging the mold using a tool called "biz" or a medium-thickness quilting needle.
- Mold Cutting: The mold's opening is narrower than its body to perfectly form the balloon shape. Therefore, when looking from above, cut two opposite horizontal and vertical legs of the mold’s opening about 1 cm. The uncut side legs should be pulled outward after drying to remove the candle. Before casting, align and press the cut surfaces tightly together. This cutting process allows your detailed candle to come out easily without damage, prevents mold tearing, and extends its lifespan.
- Level the Surface: To achieve a perfect shape, ensure the surface where you place the mold before casting is flat and level.
- Temperature Balance: Pay attention to the candle’s melting and casting temperatures for smooth mold details. Removing the candle before it is fully cooled and solidified may cause loss of details and shape deformation.
- Colored Casting Tip: If your candle mixture is colored, the silicone mold may change color after casting. Following cleaning and storage instructions minimizes color transfer for future castings. To reduce workload and risk, we recommend having separate molds for colored and white castings.
- Use of Mold Release Spray: For mass production, you can use mold release spray to extend mold life and quickly remove objects. Apply the spray evenly on the mold’s inner surfaces.
CLEANING AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Post-Use Cleaning: After casting, gently heat the mold interior with a hot air gun and wipe candle residues with paper towels. Then wash with soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Proper Storage: Silicone is flexible and may deform under pressure over time. Make sure your mold is completely dry before placing it back in its original kraft box. Store away from direct sunlight, high heat, and heavy weights.
- Quick Cleaning: You can use wet wipes, adhesive tape, or cologne wipes for instant cleaning.
Remember, every candle casting is a delightful experience. We wish you enjoyable and patient work during your production process.
