How to choose a glass candle container?
A container candle needs heat-resistant glass. The wick size follows the inner diameter; in a wide container one thin thread tunnels. Soya Wax 50 ~51–55°C, fragrance 6–10%. No thin tea glasses and no cracked glass.
-
Check the glass
Heat-resistant, no cracks, a flat base. No thin disposable glasses. If there is a metal lid, keep it open while burning.
-
Measure the inner diameter
The wick follows the diameter, not the kilo. A narrow container gets a thin size; a wide one gets a heavier or double wick. Center it with a holder.
-
Pour
Soya Wax 50 in a double boiler ~51–55°C, fragrance 6–10%. Pour slowly. Wait 24 hours; wick ~5 mm.
Not a mold
In container glass the candle stays. A candlestick released from a mold is paraffin and a silicone mold. Separate guides.
Heating glass
A heavy or double wick overheats the glass. One size thinner, equal spacing. A burn test.
