GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
- Optimal Hardness: Molds are made from durable white silicone with optimal hardness that does not damage object details. They are flexible and have smooth inner surfaces.
- Casting Guarantee: With proper storage and usage, you can make approximately 500 castings.
- Supportive PLA Hoop Attachment: The outer hoop is made from PLA, an organic bioplastic, to perfectly maintain the form during casting. Hoop color may vary depending on stock.
- Multi-Purpose Casting Advantage: Due to their nature, silicone molds are suitable for multiple casting materials except stone powder; compatible with wax, soap, concrete, epoxy, scented stone, ceramic, and plaster. Pay attention to drying and working conditions of your raw materials. Not recommended for food products.
- Package Contents: The containers shown in the images are not included. Your order includes only the high-quality silicone mold to produce containers. The package contains 5 pieces: 1 silicone mold, 2 PLA hoops, and 2 clamps.
- Special Kraft Box and Information Label: Your product is shipped in a special kraft box with a label containing gram and dimension information to help you calculate raw material usage easily. This prevents material waste and eliminates the need to search for digital data each time.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- First Use: It is recommended to clean your molds with soapy water and dry thoroughly before use.
- PLA Hoop Usage: Before casting, insert the hoop onto the silicone mold and secure with clamps. This prevents deformation of the silicone during casting. Important warning: Do not apply direct heat (hair dryer, heat gun, etc.) to the hoop as high temperatures may deform or melt the PLA material.
- Level the Surface: Ensure the surface where you place the mold is flat and level for perfect form.
- Stone Powder Mixing Ratio Tip: Reference mixing ratio is 310-350 g water per 1 kg stone powder. Correct water ratio ensures stronger and more durable objects. Higher water increases fragility; lower water makes pouring and spreading difficult. Adjust ratios seasonally with temperature changes.
- Air Bubble Warning: Adding Li-Quit Air Entrainer at 1-3 g per 100 g mortar after mixing stone powder with water minimizes air bubbles. Lightly tapping the mold after pouring helps bubbles rise to the surface.
- Demolding Time: To preserve smooth details, do not remove the casting from the mold before the stone powder fully cures and heat phase ends.
- Mold Release Spray Usage: For serial production, use mold release spray to extend mold life and facilitate quick demolding. Apply an even layer on the mold’s inner surfaces.
CLEANING AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Post-Use Cleaning: Wash with soapy water and dry thoroughly after casting.
- Proper Storage: Silicone is flexible and may deform under pressure over time. Ensure molds are completely dry and store in their original kraft box. Keep away from direct sunlight, high heat, and heavy weights.
- Quick Cleaning: Use wet wipes, adhesive tape, or alcohol wipes as needed.
