Product Info
- Wax dyes are oil-based products used to color your candles.
- They have a thick, concentrated consistency and begin to soften and then melt when exposed to heat.
- This product is red in color and weighs 50 grams, supplied as 2 doypack packs of 25 grams each.
- When coloring your candle, add a small amount (1%) of granule wax dye to the melting container along with your base material (soy wax, paraffin, etc.). Mix the two thoroughly to achieve a homogeneous blend. Once fully melted, drop a small amount onto white paper and wait for it to dry. If the dried color matches your desired shade, your dye is ready. If the tone is lighter than expected, add a small additional piece (2%, 3%, 4%, etc.) to the liquid wax and mix well. Repeat until the desired tone is achieved.
- Note that the visible color of the melted wax will differ from the color after drying.
- The wax dyes you use can be mixed with each other to create intermediate shades from primary colors.
- Granule wax dyes are produced to minimize pigment issues after drying, unlike powder dyes, and are much easier to work with.
- Not suitable for oral consumption or eye contact.
- Candles shown in images are not included in the sale.
