- Candle dyes are oil-based products used to color your candles.
- They have a thick, concentrated consistency and begin to soften and then melt when exposed to heat.
- This product is blue in color and weighs 50 grams, shipped as 2 doypack packages of 25 grams each.
- When coloring your candle, add a small amount (1%) of the granule candle dye to the melting container along with your base material (soy wax, paraffin, etc.). Mix the two thoroughly to achieve a homogeneous blend. Once your base is fully melted, drop a small amount onto white paper and wait for it to dry. If the dried colored wax on the paper matches your desired shade, your color is ready. If it appears lighter than expected, add a small piece (2%, 3%, 4%, etc.) more to the liquid wax and mix well. Repeat this process until you reach your desired tone.
- The visible color of the melted base material will differ from the color after drying.
- The candle dyes you use can be mixed with each other, allowing you to create intermediate colors from different primary colors.
- Granule candle dyes are produced to minimize pigment issues after drying, unlike powder dyes. They are much easier to work with compared to powders.
