How to use palm wax?

Palm wax is not Soya Wax 50. It is chosen for a firmer hold in molds. The working temperature is in the SKU note; do not copy the 51–55°C soy band. Fragrance should not exceed the product ceiling.

  1. Take the heat from the SKU

Palm is not soy Wax 50 (~51–55°C). No direct flame. Double boiler, the SKU working band.

  2. Mold and wick

Palm stays firm; it suits candlesticks and detailed molds. Wick diameter is tested differently from soy containers.

  3. Cooling

Do not cool quickly. Do not demold early. Wait 24 hours; note the burn test.

Difference from soy

Soya Wax 50 is for containers and aromatherapy. Palm can give a crystal surface; frosting is a plant crystal as in soy, not a defective wax.

Blends

Do not blindly mix soy and palm. Each base has its own oil saturation. A small test, a scale.

FAQs

Is palm vegan?

It is plant-based; the palm source is stated on the label. The vegan container recipe is in the Soya Wax 50 guide.

Palm instead of paraffin?

It can be an alternative for mold firmness. Paraffin is petroleum-derived. SKU and wick tests are a must.
